Dr. phil. Manfred Kubny, MA
is a German sinologist. His research focuses on the history, theory, and practical application of all methods of physical and mental self-preservation from the Chinese cultural sphere.

His academic specialization lies in the study of Chinese techniques for the analysis and assessment of the human personality using traditional Chinese Fate Science (chronobiology and chronopsychology) Bazi Suanming 八子算命 “The Calculation of Life According to the Eight Chinese Characters” and reality and situation analysis using thestrategy-formation system Qimen Dunjia 奇門遁甲 “The Wonderful Gates and theHidden Shield.”

Since the eighties Manfred Kubny has been educated in theory and practice and eduction of Bazi Suaming by famous experts in Taiwan. He successfully complete further education in health pedagogics (1991 – 1993), psychotherapy (2018 – 2010) and finished a second Master degree of Cultural Sciences and Complementar Medicine (2012 – 2017).

For 40 years, he has also been researching the theories and practices of Daoist longevity techniques. His current academic studies involve Daoist Fu talismans as a traditional Chinese cultural instrument for influencing the human life path and the understanding of water in Chinese culture and medicine.

For his scientific approach and his educational skills he is appointed in 2008 as a professor at the department of Chinese Medicine at the NUNM, Portland (Oregon) USA

Robin Littlefield

Dr. ROBIN LITTELFIELD, Adjunct Faculty at the College of Classical Chinese Medicine.

Expert in Chinese Medicine and practice of traditional Chinese Fate Sciences

Dr. Robin Littlefield, MA, DSOM, MSiMR, studied Classical Chinese medicine and works as a researcher and knowledge engineer focused on Classical Chinese medicine, Chinese fate‑calculation systems, and Classical Chinese texts.

Her doctoral capstone at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) / College of Classical Chinese Medicine, Portland, Oregon, was a clinical case study on the use of Bazi Suanming as a complementary Chinese medicine diagnostic method in the TCM clinic.

Dr. Littlefield is the founder of MingLab (MingLab.io), a research and development lab dedicated to modeling the pattern structures of Chinese fate‑calculation systems (Bazi Suanming, Qimen Dunjia, and Yijing) and their applications in constitutional and predictive health assessment, treatment planning, and lifestyle strategy.

Earlier in her career she was a founding developer of internet routing technology; she now applies software development, AI‑driven knowledge engineering, and language‑translation technology to the study and application of Chinese medical diagnosis and Chinese fate‑calculation systems. She is also completing a masters in cybersecurity.

She practices Jinjing Gong (tendon and channel qigong) with Sifu Wang Qingyu of Chengdu, China, lineage holder of the Daoist teacher Li Jie of Emei Shan, and with Heiner Fruehauf and Bill Frazier through “Uncle Bill’s Qigong Club” in Oregon.

She conducts private consultations in Bazi Suanming and Qimen Dunjia through MingLab.
